In the last article we discussed about the two types of Nature. Those are Para and Apara. The higher and the lower types of Nature respectively. The Nature with eight parts is lower Nature and the there is a higher Nature, which is known as the Supreme Consciousness. Both these parts of Nature belongs to a higher consciousness by which everything visible and invisible is created. So we see here that the Maya or the illusion as we call it is not a simple thing. In fact it is so vast that it can never be overcome by any individual or any being of this Universe.
It is important to remember here that higher nature of Prakriti is responsible for creation of the whole Universe including all planets, stars and the milky ways, the black hole…everything. In this Shloka Lord Krishna says:” I am the source of the entire creation, and into me it again dissolves.” That includes the entire Prakriti, the higher and the lower nature of the Prakriti; the entire creation. It also means being the part of the almighty, the Prakriti, is invincible. One cannot go beyond it or completely win over it. The relationship between Maya and an individual can be compared to the relationship of the fish with water. The fish would never survive out of water.
All of us are under the control of Maya or Prakriti or illusion and we can never win over it. That is why the ancient sages named Prakriti as the primordial energy of Nature and worshipped Her as the Mother. A great sage Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansa used to say to pray the Mother Nature fervently praying her to allow one to go beyond Her. Except that there is no other way to go beyond. Swami Vivekananda, a great disciple of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahansa also had the same experience and was reprimanded by Mother, once during his meditation. So, was Shri Nigamananda Paramahansa while meditating on the banks of river Ganges in Kashi. So know it to be true that only during the dissolution when everything merges into the creator, the Prakriti is also merged completely and again recreated at the time of creation.
Now, we can summarize that the creation as a whole is under the direct control of Prakriti under the supervision of the Absolute, the Purusha, the Master of all Masters. The mysteries of Mantras are under the control of Gurus or Masters. It is important to note that the Purusha and Prakriti are not different. They are One. At the time of total annihilation, known as the Pralalya, the entire creation including the Prakriti merges into the creator.
